The project meeting and workshop were attended by all project partners, bringing together a total of 20 project members:
At the beginning of the meeting, the Vice-Dean for Science and Research of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at the University of Economics and Business in Prague, Assoc. Prof. Ing. Karel Bruna, PhD., welcomed the participants. The event was held according to the pre-approved agenda, which included an expert session of local project coordinators with the main coordinator, focusing on administrative matters and the implementation of the following two events (a teacher training workshop in Yerevan and in Durrës). The workshops provided training for participating team members on both theoretical and practical aspects of intervention and the intervention programme, on fostering predictors of reading comprehension, and on reading strategies.
The Prague workshop became an important platform not only for professional contributions and training, but also for open discussions and the exchange of experiences among the partners. The international meeting once again confirmed that the development of reading literacy and related competences represents a shared European challenge that requires close cooperation among universities and professional institutions and their staff.
